A Green Beret medic, also known as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant (MOS 18D), is a highly trained military medical professional within the Special Forces unit, responsible for providing advanced emergency medical care in austere environments, including trauma management, surgical procedures, and basic dentistry, while also being capable of operating in combat situations alongside their team during unconventional warfare missions; essentially acting as the primary medical provider for their Special Forces detachment, often treating allied and indigenous personnel as well.
